Meet Sage Williamson

Marriage & Family Therapist

Sage Williamson is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with extensive clinical experience. She holds a license to practice in both Connecticut and New York State. Sage works well with parents, children, and young adults struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and school-related and social issues, with an approach geared toward empowering parents. Sage also provides home-based services and collaborates with schools to support each child’s success.

Sage completed her clinical training at the Northern American Family Institute. She received post-graduate training at the Ackerman Institute for the Family and the Connecticut Women’s Consortium. She has a wide range of expertise, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused CBT, Multi-Dimensional Family Therapy, adolescents with substance use and high-risk behaviors, mindfulness, and evidence-based interventions.

Sage’s warmth, patience, and clinical expertise provide a nurturing atmosphere in which clients feel comfortable to address their concerns. She draws on each child’s strengths while building new skills to work through their challenges, improve problem-solving skills, and build self-awareness. Her work is informed by evidence-based treatments and is focused on finding solutions. She collaborates with parents, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to facilitate treatment to meet the unique needs of each child.

Sage’s mission is to provide the highest quality of care. She is devoted to helping each client identify and implement effective strategies to facilitate treatment. Her clients often experience a reduction of symptoms and improved well-being early on in therapy.
