Victor Piacente is a Licensed Master Social Worker and Attorney with over two decades of experience. Victor works with adults, parents, couples, and executives struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, parenting and career issues, relationship and anger issues, addiction, sexual concerns, and trauma. Victor is skilled at creating tools to foster healthy communication, increase self-empathy and flexibility, and help clients move past hurt to build stronger connections within themselves and others. He encourages clients to develop resilience using solution-focused, evidence-based treatments and mindfulness techniques to integrate mind and body and create new pathways for change.
Victor holds a Master of Science in Social Work from Capella University, a Juris Doctorate from Touro Law School, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from SUNY Binghamton. He is experienced in comprehensive assessment and treatment planning to deliver effective and targeted treatment. His therapeutic practice integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Positive Psychology, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, and Emotion-Focused Therapy. He is certified in Positive Psychology through Harvard Medical School and Reiki Practitioner.
Before becoming a therapist, he practiced as an attorney in business and family law with a focus on conflict resolution. This experience gives him a unique perspective. He understands the pressures of high-stakes decision-making and helps clients gain clarity and calm under stress.
Victor has served in both the United States Army and the United States Marine Corps and has been recognized with multiple awards, including the Army Achievement Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, and NATO Medal. Victor’s dedication to mental health. He considers the biological, psychological, social and political factors that influence how his clients feel and how those factors impact overall health. Through his unique blend of expertise, Victor brings a holistic perspective to helping others overcome challenges, build resilience, and achieve long-term well-being.
