Eileen Polito is a licensed senior clinician in both New York and Connecticut with over two decades of clinical experience. She specializes in working with high-functioning adults and families navigating a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, chronic illness, life transitions, trauma, and grief. Eileen is known for her ability to create a compassionate and secure therapeutic space where clients feel understood and supported. From the very first session, she helps individuals develop tools to reduce symptoms and improve their overall quality of life.
In addition to individual therapy, Eileen works extensively with couples and families. She is experienced in helping clients navigate a wide range of relationship difficulties, including communication issues, parenting stress, financial strain, trust issues, and affair recovery. Drawing on Emotionally Focused Therapy and other integrative methods, she develops tools to promote healthy communication, increase empathy, and foster flexibility within the family system. Eileen helps couples move beyond past hurt, strengthen their emotional bonds, and create deeper, more meaningful connections.
Eileen earned her graduate degree from Spalding University and is an active member of both the American Psychological Association (APA) and the Connecticut Psychological Association (CPA). She draws from a variety of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Put simply: whatever you’re going through, she can help.
Following graduate school, Eileen completed specialized training in supporting individuals and families facing medical illness. She served as Associate Director of Clinical Programs at Red Door Community (formerly Gilda’s Club) in New York City, where she provided psychosocial support to patients and caregivers across the continuum of care. This experience gave her deep insight into the mind-body connection and the emotional toll of medical challenges—including feelings of helplessness, anxiety, and depression.
Eileen understands the complex interplay between biological, psychological, and social factors, and how those forces impact emotional and physical health. She helps clients gain clarity, identify their strengths, and build resilience as they move toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.
Eileen is deeply committed to delivering the highest quality of care. Her mission is to help each client achieve their goals and build a life they truly love.

At Greenwich Psychology Group, our symptom checker helps clients track their symptoms of depression or anxiety. Taking the assessment doesn't provide a formal diagnosis, but it can help you determine what next steps you may need to take. The evaluation uses a series of questions to review the feelings and symptoms you've experienced over the past two weeks. The results will help you distinguish if professional help is the best next step.
